NBBI is the world leader in pressure equipment safety. Founded in 1919, NBBI's mission is to improve the safety of people and property by standardizing the construction, installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of pressure equipment. NBBI's flagship publication, the NBIC, is a globally recognized standard that governs and updates the rules for the installation, inspection, repair, and modification of pressure equipment. The NBBI is incorporated into the legislation of most U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions and serves as the basis for NBBI's four accreditation programs: R, VR, NR, and T/O. Many repair organizations in more than 60 countries, which also use the ASME BPVC code, utilize the NBIC to perform repairs on pressure components.
