Summary
This standard will define the Secure Open Data and Avionics Services (SODAS), the transport layers, and the suggested security mechanisms to enable communication between aircraft systems and an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). Herein is the definition of a set of protocols and services for the exchange of aircraft avionics data across aircraft networks. The purpose is to define a common set of services to be used to access specific avionics data that will enhance EFB applications.
