1.1 This specification covers hot-rolled carbon steel sheet and strip of drawing quality, in coils or cut lengths. This material is intended for use in fabricating identified parts where drawing or severe forming may be involved and surface appearance is not of primary importance.

1.2 This specification is applicable for orders in either inch-pound units (as A 621) or SI units (as A 621M).
