1.1 This test method covers the determination of the permanent linear change of refractory brick when heated under prescribed conditions.

1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

Note 1-Test methods incorporating additional provisions pertinent to specific refractory materials are given in the following Test Methods: C179, C210, C436, and C605.
