Summary
1.1 This test method covers the determination of the splitting tensile strength of cylindrical concrete specimens, such as molded cylinders and drilled cores.
Note 1-For methods of molding cylindrical concrete specimens, see Practice C192 and Practice C31. For methods of obtaining drilled cores see Test Method C42.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.
