The purpose of this guide is to provide a uniform procedure under which the amusement ride and device industry can organize data related to injuries and illnesses. The classification system may assist owner/operators and manufacturers to review incidents directly related to their amusement rides and devices, and may provide information for alternatives to reduce or eliminate similar occurrences.
