Summary
1.1 This specification covers the minimum performance and safety requirements to be used for systems for scavenging excess anesthetic gases from operating rooms. It applies to scavenging from breathing machines for medical use, extracorporeal oxygenators, and anesthetic breathing machines. It is not intended to apply to machines designed exclusively for dental use.
