The document specifies the dimensions which are important for the interchangeability of knife sections for cutter bars. In detail the following is indicated: Widths, lengths and thickness of the section, location and diameter of the fixation holes, wedge angle of the cutting edge. Three different types can be differentiated. Type with a flat cutting edge, type with a below toothed cutting edge and type with an above toothed cutting edge. Examples are given for the specification and the application of knife sections.
