DIN 14375:2018-12

2B standpipes (with two B outlets) are used by fire brigade to draw water from the pipe network. They are connected to an underground fire hydrant DN 80 according to DIN EN 14339 by inserting and turning them clockwise. In this standard, a lower part of the standpipe and an upper part of the standpipe are distinguished and the individual components are named and dimensioned. The valve bonnet of the distributor according to DIN 14345 was used for the valves. DIN EN 12266-1 was taken as a basis for the strength and tightness of the standpipe. Stand pipes 2B are designed for a nominal pressure PN 16 of 1.6 MPa (16 bar).
