Summary
This standard specifies requirements for cabinets and their equipment for fire hydrants with lay-flat hoses. These wall hydrants are to be connected to fire water lines 'wet' or 'wet/dry' according to DIN 14462. Wall hydrants with lay-flat hoses are intended for fire-fighting by fire brigades or people with special fire protection tasks that are properly trained in the handling this device. Note: For the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of fire extinguishing pipes DIN 14462 applies.
