Summary
This Standard specifies minimum requirements and test methods for Smoke alarms for residential or similar application. Smoke alarms for the purpose of this Standard can be used as self-contained smoke alarms or in systems, but shall not be used in fire detection and fire alarm systems in accordance with DIN 14675 and DIN VDE 0833-3 (VDE 0833-2) or as substitute for a fire detection and fire alarm system in accordance with special construction rules.
