Summary

A considerable need has arisen among the fire brigades for hand-operated cable reels. However, the dimensions do not achieve the requirements of the currently published versio of DIN 14680. With this amendment DIN 14680 / A1: 2017-07, the following changes are made: 4.2, dimensions, designation, design to open the standard also for hand-operated cable reels with deviating dimensions. This document has been prepared by the working committee NA 031-06-01 AA in the German committee for Firefighting and fire protection (FNFW).
