The project applies to rail depended storage and retrieval machines and defines design criterions as well as calculation bases of electrical driven mechanisms. For the classification of mechanisms classes of operating time and load spectra are used. The design criterions and calculation bases are prescribed for motors, gears, clutches and brakes. Essential design criterions are e.g. required torques, performances, accelerations ets. The calculation base is the time-dependent behaviour of torque, rotational speed and performance which is qualitatively similar for all types of drives.
