The procedure described in this standard to the picture data control RGB serves the control of picture expenses in disputes or with uses with which in the approach a very colour-faithful issue of the picture data was agreed. This is as a rule in case with professional uses. The described procedure is not applicable if an issue was agreed by 'nice pictures'. In such a case picture changes can be carried out which have an automatic picture optimisation to the contents or which allow an optimum exploitation of the colour space of the issue device. Such an optimisation can occur at the expenses of the precision in the reproduction of single colours what is welcome under circumstances. Example for that are procedures to the industrial picture production (Fotofinishing).
