Entertainment technology - LED for scenic lighting applications
Summary
This standard applies to systems of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that are used in fixed and mobile event and production venues, as well as theatrical productions and scenic architectural lighting. This standard applies to LED systems in the visible wavelength range from 380 nm to 780 nm and in the invisible infrared and ultraviolet region (only IRED and UV-LED). The aim of the standard is to describe the systems with LED technology, the requirements for compatibility between systems and their suitability for use and the dangers emanating therefrom and the resulting requirements (see EN 62471). This standard is a guideline for the use of LED systems and describes the possible types of LED systems, which consist of individual components or modules. System-bound, closed systems such as LED screens and pixel systems whose individual components are not accessible externally, are not covered by this standard. If these schemes are used scenic, section 5 'Hazards' of this standard applies. This standard does not apply to LEDs in general lighting.
