DIN 15996:2008-05

This standard describes principles and provisions for work stations for image and sound production in film, video and radio stations. It specifies requirements in order to customise specific ratings and the complete design of the working place and environment to the characteristics of human beings and their working tasks regarding simultaneously the special functional and operational conditions of the film and video studios and radio stations. These recommendations also consider the design of barrier-free working places as far as possible. Additionally, the document serves as an instruction for a safety arrangement of installations. The standard applies to planners, manufacturers and operators of stationary studio equipment.
