The specifications of this standard refer to copies, printing copies and printing forms, which are processed as punched material, e.g. photomaterials, foils and paper as well as for manufactures of maschines and equipment by whom the referring register systems are produced or used. The standard serves the purpose of unification of different register systems in the printing technology into one single system, which leads to an economical processing of the materials.
