This standard provides recommendations for the application of the service segments defined in DIN EN 29735 (EDIFACT syntax version 3). The standard is also applicable on elements (segments, data element groups and data elements) of EDIFACT syntax version 4 and higher if these elements are used in version 4 in the same manner.
