DIN 16769:2005-02

This standard specifies terms and definitions for components of sprue systems to be used in injection moulds for the processing of thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics and elastomers. These are sprue systems for settling sprues in moulds with external heating, internal heating and cold runner moulds. The components and examples mounting arrangements of the various sprue systems are shown in figures 1 to 28. All figures are examples and not binding for the design of the injection moulds. The purpose of this standard is to introduce coherent terms for the various sprue systems in professional terminology.
