This standard specifies a method for the determination of the temperature uniformity for indirectly heated and internally electrically heated heat treatment furnaces within non-filled working volume. In addition, it defines requirements for these furnaces and labelling as well as indications for the determination of temperature uniformity within the filled working volume. Determinations for the inspection of measurement and control equipment are not part of this standard.
