DIN 18008-1:2010-12

The series of standards DIN 18008 specify rules for design and construction for products of glass. Part 1 defines the fundamental requirements for all parts of the series of standards. This applies among others terms and definitions and common rules for design and construction as well as indications for required and acceptable test verifications. The safety concept, actions, calculation of tensions and deformations, of load-bearing capacity and usability as well as the residual load-bearing capacity are described inter alia.
