Summary

The purpose of this standard is to describe the basic principles for tolerances and their testing. The tolerances established in this standard describe the accuracy to be achieved within customary accurateness. They always apply if no other tolerances are agreed upon. The standard applies to the setting up of components as well as for the construction of buildings. The tolerances apply to the construction of buildings irrespective of building materials.
