This standard incorporates technical specifications with regard to safety within the meaning of the law on technical equipment. The wall tie is a construction which provides two-sided and one-sided support for formwork. Up to the moment of formwork removal it serves to sustain the effective stresses within the formwork. The wall tie consists of the following elements: tie plate, tie lock (wedge lock, eccentric lock, wedge eccentric lock, screw lock) tie bar and bar spacer. Tie lock and bar spacer, tie lock and tie plate as well as bar spacer and tie bar can form a single element. The suitability of the wall tie elements subject to marking shall be verified by a test carried out by an officially recognized laboratory for material testing.
