Summary

The document forms part of the multi-part standard DIN 18263. DIN 18263 part 4 describes door closers which combine several different functions. An electric motor operates the door during normal use. In a fire situation, they function as ""normal"" door closers, even when the power supply fails. The energy stored in the spring of the door closer causes the door to close automatically.
