DIN 18545:2015-07

This standard deals with the sealing of glazing with sealants and specifies requirements for the rebates of windows and doors for the installation of glazing units (single glazing or insulating glass units (IGUs)). It applies to: - linearly supported glazing for windows and doors (single glazing and IGUs), - glazing with putty fronting (single glazing up to a maximum side length of 80 cm) installed with sealants in accordance with DIN EN 15651-2 or plastic sealants in accordance with 5.4 if the components are exposed to external conditions on at least one side. It also applies to glazing with special functions for which additional modifications must be taken into account depending on the requirements, such as SSG, burglar-resistant glazing or fire resistant glazing.
