This draft aims to provide guidance to enable a comprehensive determination of site-specific soil functions in a sound and transparent way for the daily business on a construction site. The results are to serve the relevant authorities for their evaluations. Especially the routing of pipes and cables (power, heat, gas, water, etc.) and road- and rail works make up a significant contribution to the linear land use. Not just the few meters parallel to the respective routing are subject to long-term interventions and thus may lead to changes in soil functions, but also areas that need to be recovered after construction work.
