Soil quality - Environmental requirements for the construction and operation of civil shooting ranges - Part 2: Analyses
Summary
This standard specifies the development of standardized analyses to identify soil contaminations and their effects on shooting ranges in operation and their surroundings. This standard does not establish a final analytical scope, but gives different analytical methods relating to particular cases in the form of modules with different possible conclusions and weightings. The environmental requirements according to this standard are applicable to open ranges with shooting stands for shotgun shooting, notably trap, skeet and sporting. Spatially limited deposition areas for projectiles, as for rabbit and flying rabbit ranges as well as open and partly open ranges for shooting single projectiles are covered by Clause 7. Analyses, assessments and measures required for inoperative shooting ranges can be performed according to the procedures given in this standard.
