Public traffic areas serve as traffic routes and important infrastructure corridors for the placement of supply and disposal lines. This standard determines the installation rules for supply and disposal lines in public traffic areas. This standard shall be used for the definition of infrastructure corridors. For existing lines inventory protection applies. It is recommended to consider this standard for the reorganization of existing lines and for the installation outside of public traffic areas. The definitions in this standard do not discharge from the obligation to obtain line information. NOTE The authority responsible for road construction maintains a list of line operators in their field of competence. This standard does not define: a) the construction and demolition of lines; b) aboveground lines; c) lines at bridges; d) lines at federal highways; e) house connection lines.
