Summary

Auxiliary ventilation in mining is always necessary, when underground working places are not connected to the main air current. The auxiliary ventilation is realized with sheet ventilation ducts or with plastic ventilation ducts; those are joined to a fan. Spiral ventilation ducts made of flexible plastics according to this standard are used in mining for exhaust ventilation (escape of waste air) and forced ventilation (supply of fresh air).
