Chain connectors - Part 3: Block type connectors

Summary

Block type connectors according to this standard are used in mining to connect round steel link chains as per DIN 22252 and flat link chains as per DIN 22255. In chain strand the block type connectors can pass the sprocket assembly according to DIN 22256 only in vertical position which shall be proofed at the installation. Block type connectors according to this standard are not allowed to be used as load-, sling- or fastening chains in sense of DIN 15003.
