DIN 22434-5:2003-02

The document specifies the ergonomic and lighting fundamentals for the planning of lighting installations for material handling places. It defines the term material handling places. Lighting installations shall fulfil the following requirements: clearness of the driveway, working place and transportation area and to facilitate hazard identification especially while working with machines and mechanical equipment as well as to identify people and objects from an adequate distance.
