This standard applies to ROM coal and any intermediate products of hardcoal preparation which undergo further treatment. The standard serves in particular for description and estimation of raw-material properties of those ROM coals for which preparation-technological experience is not on hand as yet. The description and estimation of raw-material properties in view of coal preperation is to support selection of preperation methods and machinery as well as their design, and, in addition, is to supply the basis for estimation of cost effectivness.
