Summary
Flameproof protective clothing are used in the mining industry to protect against combustion. This standard describes the additional requirements which are requested to two-piece working suits besides the safety requirements of the standard DIN 23320-1 out of DIN EN 469.

DIN 23320-3 (1988-05) remains valid alongside this standard until 2004-02-29.*A transition period, as set out in DIN 23320-3 (2014-10), exists until 2015-03-31.
