Summary

This document applies to bolted joints with bolts and nuts made of steel according to DIN EN ISO 898-1 and DIN EN 20898-2 in rolling stock. With limitations due to the material, it shall be applied also to joints with bolts and nuts made of steel according to DIN EN ISO 3506-1 and -2. It shall support the designer in selecting bolted joints and explain the systematics and terms therefore required.
