Summary

This document applies to bolted joints in rolling stock for fasteners with mechanical characteristics made of steel according to DIN EN ISO 898-1, DIN EN ISO 898-5 and DIN EN 20898-2, stainless steel according to DIN EN ISO 3506-1, -2, -3 and nonferrous metals according to DIN EN 28839. It shall support the designer in selecting bolted joints and explain the systematics and terms therefore required.
