The standard deals with leakage test methods on sealed radioactive sources during thier use and storage. This involves tests for recurrent inspections and tests after subjection to excessive stressing.*The test has the purpose of recognizing sealed radioactive sources which have become leaky as a result of aging, wear or excessive stressing. The test have the further purpose of preventing any risk to personnel by contamination or by incorporation of radioactive material and any contamination of objects which may occur through further use of the sealed sources.
