Summary

The standard specifies a method for the determination of the density and total porosität of sintered UO2 tablets. It can also be applied for unsintered pressed tablets of UO2-PuO2 or UO2-Gd2O3, and for irradiated material in hot cells. The volume of the tablets is determined by its mercury displacement, density and total porosity from the volume and the mass of the tablet.
