Edge preparation for welding - Part 2: Matching of inside diameter for circumferential welds on seamless pipes

Summary

This document specifies the boundary dimensions of single sided butt welds with joint preparations in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9692-1 on seamless steel tubes with limits of deviation in accordance with EN 10216-1 and EN 10216-2. This standard aims at ensuring an immaculate joint preparation at the limits of supply without the necessity of extended reworking. This standard is usually applied for joint welds at the boundaries at limits of supply. This document may be applied analogously for cylindric hollow parts.
