For welded steel pipes type of grooves and dimensions for matching of inside diameter are given for connecting pipes from different suppliers by welding. By matching the inside diameter, a smooth transition without projection at connections should be produced. Dimensions for matching diameters are given for pipe outside diameter and nominal wall thickness.
