Summary

This standard applies to vehicles of the standard gauge in accordance with DIN 25003 and specifies general regulations for measuring the vehicle body and the vehicle on the track to maintain operational safety. NOTE 1 This standard may apply to railway vehicles of other gauge widths and their components. The measurement is divided into vehicle-specific maintenance intervals, which are defined either according to time limits or in service-dependent or load-dependent maintenance systems. NOTE 2 This may be agreed between the vehicle owner and the maintenance engineer.
