Summary

This standard applies to ventilated wheel brake discs on railway vehicles. Aluminum brake discs and monobloc wheels, whose flange faces are used as friction surfaces, are excepted. For different construction types of the designated versions this standard shall apply mutatis mutandis. The general scope of this standard is given in DIN 27200: 2011-11, Clauses 1 and 3.1.
