This standard applies to backflow preventer BA according to DIN EN 12729 for temporary connection to potable water supply, according to DIN EN 805 and DVGW W 400-3 installed outside of buildings for withdrawal from hydrants, standpipes and distribution systems according to DVGW W 408 and DIN 2001-2, e. g. during events, construction measures for protection of potable water according to DIN EN 1717. This standard does apply to backflow preventer BA with a nominal pressure PN 10. This standard does not apply to standards within the area of extinguishing water (The Firefighting and Fire Protection Standards Committee).
