In this Standard are statified commolny used products, whereas pressure gauges with single or double displays and connection at the backside only. Pressure gauges according to this Standard will fulfill the curremtly safety requirements, as well the requirements accordingly to DIN EN 837-1:1997. The document applies for pressure measuring instruments with sylphon bellows for railway vehicles and configuration as follows: a) over putting ring or housing b) indirect lighting by e. g. light slots and/or direct lighting by: - lamps of the form H according to DIN 72601-4, - light emitting diodes, - illuminated slide. c) faile-save coated safty-glass. The devices are suitable for the installation in instrument panels with a thickness from 2 to 4 mm. For using pressure gauges with illuminated slide a converter is necessary. The requirement for electric power supply isn't subject of this Standard. The design of electic interfaces will be provided by the manufacturers.
