Summary

The standard describes a chemical method for the determination of the organically bound halogens in sludge and sediments amenable to stripping (POX) and to extraction (EOX). The organically bound halogens were cutched after stripping or extraction with hexane, burned in a hydrogen-oxygen-flame and measured with a suitable detector.
