Summary

The document, which was published at the same time as DIN 4102-1, was necessary for the following reasons, amongst others: to extend the scope of the document to include products not covered by the term construction product; to create a self-contained body of standards, especially also for those products for which harmonized standards will not be prepared in the foreseeable future; to ad standard to the current state of the art and current legal regulations. The document describes the uniform procedure for testing building materials in the 'Brandschacht' accordingly to DIN 4102-15.
