Thermal insulation and energy economy in buildings - Thermal bridges - Examples for planning and performance

Summary
This supplement contains examples of planning and performance in order to avoid thermal bridges. It includes diagrams of the details of connections in building construction. Only examples of planning and performance in relation to thermal insulation are given. Other requirements relating to the physical and structural aspects of buildings are specified in existing regulations and shall be complied with. The conditions and boundary conditions specified in this supplement only apply to the verification by calculation of the examples given in this supplement. This supplement does not deal with all types of thermal bridges occurring in buildings. The effect of thermal bridges not covered by the examples in this standard may be reduced by following the construction principles specified in this supplement. This does not affect other requirements.
