DIN 4109-34:2013-06

DIN 4109-34 deals with the relative improvement in the sound reduction index, ?Rw, and the relative reduction in impact noise, ?Lw, by cladding in front of solid structural members. If there is a gap in the cladding at separating elements, the values given in this standard can be used to calculate the flanking sound reduction index according to DIN 4109-2. If there is only a partial gap in the cladding at separating elements the difference in the flanking sound pressure level referred to in DIN 4109-33 is to be used when calculating the flanking sound reduction index according to DIN 4109-2.
