Transformers - Oil-immersed power transformers from 3150 kVA up to 80000 kVA and U<(Index)m> up to 123 kV.

Summary

This standard specifies the electrical characteristics, designations, equipment and in some cases dimensions of oil-immersed power transformers with a rated power from 3150 kVA up to 80000 kVA. The transformers are designed for continuous duty with a three-phase current of 50 Hz. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor installation. This standard applies to oil-immersed type transformers with off-circuit tap-changers or on-load tap-changers and all types of cooling. Transformers complying with this standard have two windings: - one primary winding with a maximum voltage Um up to 123 kV for equipment; - one secondary winding with a maximum voltage Um up to 36 kV for equipment. It applies by analogy for transformers whose characteristics diverge from this standard. This also applies if other insulating liquids than mineral oil are used according to DIN EN 60296 (VDE 0370 1).

Notes

A transition period, as set out in DIN VDE V 0532-508 (2020-11), exists until 2021-05-30.
