Summary
This standard specifies requirements for connectors intended for the connection of electrode-leads to patient cables e.g. of monitor equipment. It contains requirements for a touch proof construction of the connector connected or disconnected. In this way occurring electrical hazards in case of an accidentally exchange of connections can be prevented.
