This standard applies to the following gas-insulated high-voltage equipment: high-voltage switchgear and controlgear according to DIN VDE 0670 (VDE 0670) and DIN VDE 0671 (VDE 0671), transformers and reactors according to DIN VDE 0532 (VDE 0532), instrument transformers according to DIN VDE 0414 (VDE 0414), gas-filled internal pressure cables according to DIN VDE 0276 634 (VDE 0276 Teil 634), surge arresters according to DIN VDE 0675 (VDE 0675) and specifies dimensions for the male and female part of the coupling, which opens or closes the gas flow.
